Bottom Line Up Front: At InkSoft, we know our power lies in our team. So please, join us in welcoming our newest team member, Senior Product Designer extraordinaire, Jeff Orshalick! He’s accomplished, he’s creative, and he’s passionate. Full scoop below.

Like most businesses, InkSoft is driven by the belief that our ability to do great work relies on the foundation of our team. And we don’t just mean do great work as it applies to our products — we mean do great work as it applies to our customers.

Our number one priority is to make your lives easier. That means giving you the products you know and love, yes, but it also means giving you the support and the inspiration that you deserve. (And it means listening to you when you have ideas or critiques — because nobody knows what you need like you do.)

As we’re sure many of you know, building the right team can be tricky. It takes time, care, and a great deal of understanding about what it really is that you’re looking for.

That’s why, when we see an individual who’s the perfect fit — someone who encompasses the passion, creativity, and aptitude for innovation that we so love — we do everything we can to get them on board.

Today, we’re excited to announce the newest member of our team. He comes from an impressive amount of specialized experience, he’s worked for some big names in the world of modern-day software solutions, and he’s currently in the midst of a dramatic home renovation — introducing: Jeff Orshalick!

Jeff is InkSoft’s newest Senior Product Designer and, like we mentioned, he comes from a wealth of industry experience. As a student, Jeff kicked his career off by taking Architectural Engineering coursework at the University of Nebraska at Omaha; from there, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State — where he specialized in Industrial Engineering.

While in school and immediately after, Jeff interned for American Express — first as a Business/Technical Intern, and then later as an Industrial Engineer Intern. After his time at American Express ended, Jeff sailed right into global SaaS company Workiva, where he served as an Interaction Designer.

Nearly two and a half years later, Jeff hopped over to Giftcard Zen — a company that buys unwanted gift cards and resells them at a discount — as a Product Designer. That gig led him to Giftcard Zen’s parent company (and massive retail player), RetailMeNot, where he was first a Product Manager and then a UX Designer/Design Manager.

Then, in November of 2018, Jeff co-founded Happy Monday Inc. — a company that set out to revolutionize how small and growing companies find their ideal candidates. He was the Head of Design, and he brought the same passion to his work there that we know he’ll bring to the InkSoft team.

Which takes us to the here and now.

Jeff’s main duty as InkSoft’s Senior Product Designer? To utilize his user experience and interface design insight to help take our offerings, and our solutions, to the next level. We’re looking to innovate, to improve on what we already have, and to give you the best experience possible. We’re confident that Jeff will help get us there.

Aside from helping companies in the digital space improve on their product design, Jeff’s also passionate about his hobbies — which include playing tennis and music — and, hopefully, completing his home renovation project in one piece. (We have every confidence he will.)

When we told Jeff that we were writing this introduction and that we were looking for a quote from him to use, here’s what he gave us:

“The best part about product design is coming up with simple solutions to complex problems. Doing what I can to help better the overall experience? That’s the most rewarding aspect.”

If you met him, you’d know he meant every word of it. We’re so excited to have Jeff on Team InkSoft, and we can’t wait for you to start seeing his hard, creative, innovative work in practice!
