Bottom Line Up Front: Shawn comes to us with an extensive background in consulting, graphics, and apparel decoration. He’s passionate about helping businesses achieve their goals and we’re excited to have him as part of our team!

Growth is essential to us since we’re an e-commerce company, and we understand one of the best ways to grow is to make sure our customers are successful. Part of that process includes understanding what our customers need. We do that by helping them put a list of goals together that they want to achieve, then assess and start implementing change.

And that’s why we’re happy to announce the latest addition to the InkSoft team, Shawn Stender! Shawn joins InkSoft as a Client Advisor and comes to us with extensive industry knowledge.

In addition to his industry experience, Shawn’s also extremely well-versed in what it means to provide selfless service. He served six years in the United States Army before kicking off his career in the graphics market. After serving his country, Shawn returned to his home state of Wisconsin. There, he decided to pursue his passion for art and design by obtaining a degree in Marketing and Graphics Communication at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. From there, Shawn’s experience blossomed.

Career Path

Following his time at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Shawn spent some time working in the sign industry in the state.  But before long, the allure of the West coast drew his attention, and he set his sights on California’s Silicon Valley. Shawn headed to the Golden State to work for a then-startup company called TinyPrints. That company has grown immensely since Shawn’s time at the business, especially when it was acquired by print giant Shutterfly.

From Graphics to Apparel

In 2008, Shawn began a career in the decorated apparel industry. He joined startup company AnaJet Inc., a manufacturer of digital garment (DTG) printers. AnaJet Inc. was eventually acquired by Ricoh in 2015.

For the last 13 years, Shawn’s offered consulting services to companies large and small on the advantages of integrating digital garment printing technologies with at Ricoh Direct-to-Garment Printing Division. And within the last 10 years, Shawn says he’s been referring his customers to InkSoft for its benefits when paired with technology like DTG.

“I have always advised businesses that the most important part of owning printing equipment is to keep the equipment running,” Shawn says. “And, the best way to do that is to have a great sales strategy.”

Shawn says he truly enjoys consulting and educating business leaders on new technologies that help them reach their goals, so InkSoft is a great fit. He’s looking forward to matching his extensive industry knowledge to our current team, as well as current and future customers. And we’re equally excited!

Hobbies and Family

In his free time, you can find Shawn body surfing at one of the many fabulous local beaches in Southern California.  He enjoys the arts, festivals, fantasy football, reading, learning, camping, and most things outdoors.

Family is also a central part of Shawn’s life. “My wife Kelly and two children are my world,” he says. Shawn and his family enjoy traveling and exploring state and national parks together when they have free time.

We can’t wait to see what Shawn brings to our team and look forward to seeing his expertise in action!

“The InkSoft platform is the decoration industry gold standard, and I couldn’t be more excited to join this company.” Shawn says.
